About Tadrick's

We started with a simple idea in 1962

Our founders, L.J. & Gloria Tadrick started Tadrick’s Tax Service wanting to help the average taxpayer. Auto workers, construction workers and small business owners all came to Tadrick’s Tax Service to benefit from our hard hitting approach to filing taxes. People traveled from all over the State of Michigan and many from all over the country to have their taxes prepared in two small houses in downtown Flint, Michigan. L.J. Tadrick coined the phrase, “Eliot Ness caries a big stick. Don’t get hit with it!” L.J. was a workaholic and stayed up late nights year round studying the complex tax laws in an effort to help his clients legally pay the least amount of tax possible.

Our business continued to increase by leaps and bounds until in 1978 our clientele had reached over 12,000 clients. We outgrew the two small houses on Detroit Street and moved to a brand new 20,000 square foot facility on Bristol Road in Burton, Michigan where we are still located today. In 2022 Tadrick’s Tax added our Owosso location at 800 W Main St.
